Enjoy a fabulous cocktail from the bar before savouring locally sourced menus created by Head Chef Pasquale Russo and his team. The kitchen staff are are passionate about all things local and work with a range of regional suppliers to lovingly create a dishes that are full of heritage and provenance. Food at the Kings Head is modern British dining at its best, using fresh premium ingredients that reflect the changing seasons. A charge for the Spa applies.
The nearby Cotswold Water Park is an area of 40 square miles set across the countryside offering a host of activities including waterskiing, cycling, wind surfing, sailing and riding.

Parking Facilities
Pre booking is advisable prior to arrival. Limited parking is available at the hotel. There is a drop off area directly outside the hotel for guests checking in and limited secure parking spaces at the rear. Pre-booking of spaces (subject to availability) is charged at £15 per day.
Waterloo car park is a five-minute walk from the hotel and is charged at £7.50 for 24 hours.
Electric Vehicle Charging: The nearest EV charging can be found in The Beeches car park - 15 minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel has a lift to all floors please note that this is out of action until further notice.

History of the hotel
The exact age of the Kings Head is not known, but it was certainly in existence as a coaching inn in the middle of the fourteenth century.
The Kings Head is now listed as a building of special architectural and historical interest.
Child Policy
Additional beds are available for children 4-12 years for a supplement of £30 per child, per night. Cots are £15 per night, please call our team on 0333 2125 594 to check availability
Dogs Policy
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement - this will incur a charge of £20.00 per night, per dog. Maximum of two dogs allowed.
Dogs are not permitted in Indulgent rooms. They are not permitted in the restaurant or spa areas, however they are allowed in other areas of the hotel.
Dogs are not allowed to be left in rooms unattended.
Meals for guests with dogs can be taken in the bar area.

Feature room
Feature rooms are individually designed and decorated, and full of period features - ideal for guests staying longer. With king-size beds, coffee machines, and bathrooms featuring either a spacious walk-in shower or bath/shower combination. One room in this category includes a loft bathroom.
Indulgent room
Luxurious suites offer timeless elegance with architectural features making each room individually exclusive. The largest of all room types, suites include a comfortable lounge area, coffee machines, king-size beds (two with four poster beds) separate bath and walk-in shower, flat screen TV and personal mini fridge.

Apartments are located within the main hotel building, however they are a short distance away from reception and do incur some stairs, therefore not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is no lift access to the apartments.
Due to the bed configuration in Apartments, they cannot be configured as twin bedded rooms and we would recommend booking a Superior Room or Feature Room if a twin bedded room is required.
Please note not all the apartments have sofa beds or dishwasher. Should you require one of these, please call and we will be happy to assist.
*Apartments are able to accommodate up to three children using the sofa bed, rollaway beds or cots. Cots are charged at £15.00 each per night and use of sofa bed or rollaway beds charged at £30.00 each per night and must be pre-booked directly with the hotel prior to arrival.
Due to health and safety reasons sofa beds and extra beds can only be used to accommodate children up to the age of 12.
The Vaulted Spa
The Vaulted Spa at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester is a unique experience like no other. Scented candles, exposed brickwork and a unique subterranean setting provides the perfect environment for a tranquil spa experience in the Cotswolds.

Use of the Thermal Suite is £10 per person for one hour when booking a treatment.

The Spa is closed on Tuesday.
