The Cotswolds lies in the heart of England, with the Midlands to the north, London to the east and the West Country and Wales to the west.

By Car
The Cotswolds can be easily accessed by motorway, with the M4 running along the southern fringe and the M40 to the north. Cheltenham and Gloucester lie at the heart of the Cotswolds and the nearest major cities are Bath, Bristol and Oxford. The M5 links the region to the North and the Midlands, and the M4 provides access from Wales, Devon and Cornwall.

By Train
From London Paddington, services run to Worcester via Oxford and Moreton-in-Marsh. Cheltenham and Gloucester stations link to the Midlands, Wales and the southwest. The scenic Great Western Railway runs through the Cotswolds from Swindon to Cheltenham.

By Coach
Coach tours of the Cotswolds run from Cheltenham to the major Cotswold towns. National Express run services from all over the UK to Cheltenham, and also stop at Cirencester and Gloucester.

By Air
Bristol and Birmingham International Airports are the nearest to the Cotswolds.
