Stanway

Surrounded by attractive countryside, Stanway is a Cotswold village with a range of attractions around it, from Sudeley Castle, to Hailes Abbey (founded in 1246) and the museums at Winchcombe.

Stanway is home to the stunning Stanway House, which dates from the 17th century. The home was visited by James Barrie, author of Peter Pan and has been used to film period dramas. Open to the public during the summer, the house also has a recently restored 18th century water garden complete with ponds and a majestic 300ft fountain – the highest in Britain!
